THE PROJECT

The relationship with craft and technology was the starting point for us.
At the time 3D printing was still quite expensive and consumers viewed the process as cold and a process void of technical skill. We wanted to create packaging that communicated the human hand behind the machine.

THE HUMAN TOUCH

They hand dyed each one of their pieces, resulting in pieces that were all just a little different. This was a characteristic we wanted to bring to the packaging as well.

PACKAGING MACHINE-MADE OBJECTS

Hand-painted boxes that softens the machine-made process of 3D printing

HAND VS MACHINE

We hand painted each sheet of paper with the five colours of their collection. This in turn was machine cut with three nets that were custom designed for a pair of earrings, a ring and a gift set.
